It is not about boomer la. Let’s say today u need to call ocbc voyage, or some Citibank duakia card concierge, use whatapps call ghost ah. Their one all landline mah. These are the call that are expensive. Not those like u call your friend through whatapps

Yea, I still have home telephone at home. Last time need to pay home tel bill and internet bill. Now no need. Only pay Internet bill as the home tel line is connect to the modem.

I still have. Setup my own pabx system at home.
When overseas, i can vpn back on my mobile to make local calls, avoid paying the high idd or roaming charges.

Sometimes don't want to shout at kids for something, just use the phone as intercom to their rooms for communications.

My relatives all connected to my pabx network.when they all feel like having a multi-party calls with each other, they just dial the extension numbers to jojn the conference and talked over the phone. All these were done before the days of zoom.
