Nothing to prevent us from doing the same. Earn here and buy property in msia. Retirement time get m2h visa, go msia and retire.

Only question is u want to do that anot

That’s the thing. Most people here are just venting to express dissatisfaction with their current situation. That people in a developing country have it so much better. But they won’t put their money where their mouth is. It’s so easy, sell hdb and take up m2h. But how many will do as you say?

If you tell me Australia or NZ is better... fine. Many more locals migrate to those countries than people there migrate to Singapore. But Singapore Malaysia? It’s a no brainer. Only fools think otherwise.

If you’re making $15k rm you’re considered highly paid. And that’s very decent for a family living in Malaysia. If you keep to Malaysian and Chinese imports. Once you start to go beyond Malaysia it’s not enough. No buying from amazon, overseas travel, overseas education, angmo jiak, etc.

can la, malaysia cost of living so low, 15k myr sure can online shop and occasional travel la

I’ve lived in KL, what about you? A bowl of pho is $25rm in klcc but of course you can have a plate of nasi padang for $5rm in your neighbourhood shop. It depends on your spending habits.

About the only thing that’s truly more expensive in Singapore are cars. If you stick with public transportation for $5k/$15k rm I really think you’re gonna enjoy a better quality of life here than in Malaysia. Of course it depends on what you value for a quality of life. If having a car means a lot to you then go Malaysia or better yet Thailand. Moreover it’s much much easier to get a job earning $5k here than $15krm in Malaysia. The employee earning $5k sing here is probably gonna be earning $5-10k rm in Malaysia doing the same job.

Look what I’m saying is if you’re making $15k rm as a Malaysian, the equivalent Singaporean worker will be earning 2-3x as much. And I argue that the Singaporean will enjoy a much better standard of living even though cost of living is higher here. And that’s why the Govt raised our prices and salaries so quickly all these years. If all your do is suppress prices hoping that you can reduce cost of living. You’re not gonna progress up the economic ladder.

You can shop amazon and travel to Europe on a $15k rm salary? A Malaysian earning $15k rm is not gonna be a fresh grad. He will have a family to take care of.
