I used to do so but realised my iCloud drive was filling up fast since its just 5GB. As i have various devices it might make sense to enable iCloud but i have a 1 TB OneDrive and access it from my devices already.

The other issue for me is with iCloud enabled, the photos on my phone is a lower res version I believe? Which kinda sucks cos i end up uploading to OneDrive the low res while hi res version is in iCloud which i don’t use.

So now i disable photo for iCloud. Curious if im the only one who does so. Lol

Yes but the issue is i already use OneDrive for photos so having photos on iCloud is kinda pointless plus i rather save the space for backups.

iCloud auto backup all your photos and videos automatically. One drive? I am not sure. Also is it your own one drive or works one drive?

same for me. i use google drive and i upload all my photos via google photo instead.

advantage is google drive also works as a network storage for you to store data from other devices while icloud can only synch data from apple devices.

its like 1.28 cents for the 50gb option? I have a Google drive with the standard 15gb and a business One Drive account with 1 TB.

but i use iCloud because I have an iphone and most importantly, when i take a photo, it automatically syncs with my windows icloud drive as well, meaning the photo appears on my PC without needing to transfer anything.

Google photos doesnt do that, or at least the last time i checked.

OneDrive doesn't even have a dedicated photo app.

This feature alone is worth the 1.28 cents.

Get the 200gb at $4 and it auto backup everyday once you connect to wifi. If share with family members then get the 2tb one.

If you think about the future of changing iphone, icloud photo and icloud backup is the way to go. Pretty much hassle free.
