i'm waiting for a crash to invest my dividends too. nowadays waiting for a crash is harder than waiting for ATH. crazy times

what about.. not traders but those who buy a lot of dividend/distribution paying stocks/etfs? just draw out some of the distribution/dividend each month for personal consumption and re invest the rest? not really counted as trader but they have enough to just live off the dividends and distributions

crash happens with insufficient liquidity. check M1 money supply charts. america has 18.9 trillion dollars in M1 and it keeps growing. i doubt the great depression will ever repeat. more and more people will become millionaires. AI and robots mean the world doesn't need high fertility levels anymore. it's ok to be dink or single. so can you imagine what will happen when M1 keeps increasing and world population starts going down? for one, the gini efficient will approach 1. maximum income inequality. the poor will forever be poor. slaves even. that's why pap was forced to distribute cdc vouchers. social welfare cannot be ignored else riots might happen

depends on objective, can invest for capital appreciation or passive income, dividends investors belongs to latter

Why need to hold the bag. Just close entire portfolio, write off the losses and start from $0. i came across someone who did this and mentioned in the tele group
