Singapore is more right than the Conservative Party in US in someways when it comes to certain policies like minimum wages and social security but more left than Democratic Party in like Medicare

Democrats are winning their local elections based on the platform you described above. Can't argue with a winning formula for local politics. Not sure if it will work for national elections though.
