Do you upgrade your iphone every year?

I was wondering if it makes sense to buy the latest iphone, then sell after 1 year to fund the next iphone?

Assuming sim-only plan and buying the iphone from a shop rather than telco. Is it possible to trade-in a 1yr old iphone and top up $400-$500 for a new one? Assuming both around the same tier (e.g. Pro Max 256gb or 512gb).

Yes. If u use sim only plan, every yr just need to top up 400-500 for the new one. Question is, you willing to pay $400-500 diff every yr or not.

Yes I upgrade every year, so one year I re-contract and the following year I buy in full price, so it alternates like this.

Just change the battery and good to go.
since ipx, there isn’t big step changes .
you go use a ip13, it just feels v slightly larger screen that’s all

not really. the new chips r miles faster n more battery efficient. if I replaced e batt it’ll likely only last me around 6hrs daily. definitely getting 14 when it launches.

Yes I change every year to the latest model and sell the previous model.
it is kind of waste money but i like it and can afford to.

After iphone x no longer change iphone yearly.

One of the main reason are CPU are too fast and software can't catch up fast enough to maximize the CPU.

i change every 2 years and sell the old phone. recontract using corporate plan.

I only upgrade 2 years once. From 11PM to 13PM. Main difference is the 120hz refresh rate. Most of the time much of a difference for me.

I don't as I noticed the improvement from 1 level up is not much.

So for me is every 2 years.

it depends if the newer release phones have any major changes, if not much, suggest to keep current phone then upgrade in another yr time..
unless of cuz u have spare $$$

Still using 11PM. Before iPX when telco phone costs like $600, every year will upgrade to marvel at new innovation. But now abit too expensive and not much difference yoy.

currently using 11PM (upgraded from 7 plus), but today... dropped on roadside and:

1. front screen shattered
2. face ID not working
3. back camera system + flashlight not working

gurus here advice to upgrade to 13 pro max? (trying to find iphone 12 pro max but seems oos liao)

p/s: my 11pm is 2nd hand from carousell one bought for $1,050 (August 2021)
