Do your aircooler heatsink oxidized ?

Day in day out sure oxidized. So its normal.

Not unless you every 6 months gor brasso lol.

I rather you choose other cooler than h100i. Do a quick search and you see a few people complaining the h100i for corroded pipes and some already mentioned that it will not really work with some 120mm fans and stuffs.

both my 5770 hawk heat sinks rusted at certain parts already. some months ago since my gfx card is already past the warranty period + a lack of better thing(s) to do I took them out, applied autosol (some kind of metal polish/oxidization removal paste) and made it shiny again as much as i could. I reapplied the thermal paste as well and MSI afterburner reported like some 20 degrees cooler than before. (i discovered, the amount of thermal paste pre-applied was yucks )

however do note that if a piece of metal has rusted a lot (like turned brown) it would be too difficult for autosol to remove the rust (gotta use sandpaper or other means in that case). if you're that concerned with aesthetics you can polish the top part of the heat sink. if you have too much time to spare then go polish some coins as well. make a 1988 $1 like brand new again

Actually there is one more way if the chassis is big enough. Just put in a small humidifier. That is what i did to my Cm120 itx chassis at the 5.25inch empty bay. To prolong my heatsink rust.

Dehumidifier u mean? But wouldnt it cause the rubber/plastic part to harden & become brittle easily?

Wah your case/house/environment must be really dirty or harsh for your heatsink to become lidat.

If you want, can try using alcohol like zippo and tissue to wipe and see if it comes off, if not you will need some polishing agent. If polishing agent doesnt work, then you need to sand it alr, then polish after sanding to achieve the shiny effect again.

Its pretty common for raw alu/steel to have this effect, even my Lian Li alu case also have this problem although not to your extreme, thats why I'm powdercoating it

Nah won't de. The only think that will happen is dust stuck inside. Then probably just take out and brush off.

TS, Maybe you like to do a chemical wash on your heat sink? Like servicing the aircon? I am not sure will it remove the rust or not. I know it will definitly remove the dust.

Not exactly true, if the computer been operating in an air-con environment, you won't see such oxidation. Even if it does oxidized, it won't be that bad, hard fact.

Just a note here, CORSAIR had mention that the corroded seals at the end of the pipe are nothing but aesthetic purposes, still I would have prefer that they used plastic instead.

Though I have to admit that H100i (designed by CoolIT) had better mounting plates compared to their competitors, much more sturdy, coming from a person who used so many AIOs water coolers, even with the latest Eisberg from CM is totally rubbish.

There are quite a lot in those provision stores. Come in various sizes. Some as small for cabinets. Some as big as for fridge.
