so i found this old thread here... https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/need-a-docking-station-for-mac.6540377/
but the last time i did some thread necromancy, i got orh-kong SIA !
vso have to start a new thread
so need some advice from the bros and sis here...
So i have an M1 MBP and i now want/would like to do a dual external (4K or QHD) monitor setup.
given i already have an HDMI port, do i really need a caldigit-ish docking station or is those shopee baseus 5-in-1 USBC adapter with HDMI enough?
google says "One Thunderbolt 4 port can connect up to two 4K 60hz DisplayPort or HDMI monitors ".
i have no gaming need, resolution > refresh rate as my WFH setup is 1 monitor for work laptop, 1 monitor for MBP
TIA
i know it is a noob question, but i just want to know more about docking stations vs all-in-one "USB adapters"
no set budget yet, just evaluating base on function and needs.
but i know a caldigit dock can buy me 1 monitor heh...
