Ok, so it looks like ASRock uses DIP8 in socket for their BIOSes

And I have another working ASRock mobo

I will luff if this actually works

Some ASRock boards have 2 bios chips, can try switching the jumper to enable the backup bios.

Unfortunately the H81 uses a 32Mb flash while the H110 uses a 128Mb flash so get stuck with this error.

Ask ASRock and their people tell me to buy the BIOS from a third party on eBay, wow. Without even telling how to confirm if it is the BIOS chip that spoilt. (Since checksum won't work if the read address range is incorrect)
