Does cloning HDD remove fragmentation

Disk A is 2TB with 30% fragmented. I intent to clone it to disk b(Empty disk, same 2TB).

Want to use WD Acronis true image to clone but do I have to run disk defrag before cloning over

Cloning HDD will not remove existing fragmentation, cos it's a sector-by-sector copy.

2TB 30% need to defrag will take very long. Since this is the case, likely will defrag before clone

If your disk contains just data files, copying them over to your new drive will remove the fragmentation
