Like the title suggest, does it affect? Was looking at some rams on Amazon and noticed that some of it mentions that it was built with windows 10 in mind. Is this a gimmick or is there really something special?

The ones in question are these:

There are a few other stuff that has this little box as well and i want to have a peace of mind when finally buying my pc parts. Thanks in advance!

gimmick. If the hardware works on Windows 7 or 8, it will work on Windows 10.

The only exception I can think of is non-Windows 8 compliant GPU for fast boot.

Nah.. Certain manufacturers are dropping driver support for older hardwares on Windows 10...

Windows 8.1 is no big deal with regards to hardware compatibility vs Windows 7, both are Windows version 6 (6.1 vs 6.3)

Windows 10 is a new version altogether. Be prepared to see the pain just as we moved from XP to Vista. Or 98 to XP.

Clean install windows 10 preview on old DELL Dimension 9130 (>12 yrs old) which was running winXP and no problem at all. All hardwares (usb, ethernet, audio) detected and working. Only changed HDD to SSD for OS. Very quick boot up. GPU drivers was Microsoft display driver as original GPU was Nvidia6800, till I swapped in GT630 which then installed Nvidia drivers.

No, no issues. Its just marketing. Even old hardware working on winXP will work on win10.

In-build driver supports have improve greatly since win 8. Win 8.1 and 10 brings it to another level.

Been using win 10 build since their first release and i will dump my win 7 the moment 10 is out.
