I am planning to buy Iphone 6 plus. But I am scared that bigger phones are prone to crack. My bro's lumia 1520 crack badly twice within first few months.

Should I go for I6 or I6 plus?

Crack easily??

Not without pressure or drop...If your bro's lumia screen crack, definitely got pressure or drop somewhere..

That's why a good protective casing & tempered glass screen protector are very important.

Lol. I previously use a China phone 5.7" screen with crack resistant screen. Used it with just screen protector, no need for casing. Dropped it more than 15 times accidentally for 2 years screen still ok

A good case definitely helps.
Recently dropped my IP5s and it hit the corner then it slide for about 20cm.
Lucky got case and my screen didnt crack. Suffered a small dent thou despite the case covering the corner of the phone.

TG protector sure helps. This was what happened to my uncle's iphone 6+ few months back. I applied TG protector on his phone when he first gotten the phone. One day, he accidentally dropped his phone from waist level when he was retrieving his car and the phone screen cracked. Initially, he thought TG protector was cracked, so he removed the TG protector. But, only to realise that it was the phone screen that had cracked as TG protector was still in one piece with no chip or scratches. He quickly pasted back the TG protector onto his phone screen to prevent the screen from fall into pieces. Luckily, he had bought Applecare+ and had his damaged phone replaced 1on1 with $108 topup. Afterwhich, he bought a better casing and applied new TG protector on his replacement phone. Last known, he dropped his phone again and the corner of the phone screen was cracked. He plans to do the replacement again before Applecare+ expires next year.

you can't be stingy & pay peanuts if you want a good protective case.

UAG, Otterbox, Spigen, Griffin, Ballastic, Pelican etc are all proven solid cases.. I use spigen's slim armor together with TG screen protector. Phone fell out from my pocket when I sat down, no damage at all, the spigen case only had a minor scratch..

Tell your uncle to do his research before just buying any case that looks tough.

Has dropped iPhone 6 plus with both UAG case and spigen tough armour cases with no TP screen protector. Screen do not crack and slight scratch on casing only.

Good casing offers better protection with TP installed.

Crack? Nah not from my personal experience. Dropped it several times already.
But the latest drop (today, just) had the phone going down each surface on the escalator, starting from the middle of it to about the part where the escalator starts. A few chips and a very minor dent, but the screen certainly stayed strong. Mind you, this is an naked 6 plus with just a TG (not full frame) applied on. Obviously the TG wore down.
