There is only so much that a brand can do liao. Now is into cooling, tuning, and other things to prevent throttling lol.

Just like how evga does on their new icx cooler with different sensors to detect where need better cooling etc.

Oh well couldnt care less for people whom custom water cooling.

Look at current Nvidia gen, "overclocking" is so easy. All cards will hit the 2.1 wall no matter how satki or exotic the cooling solution is

Don't need tiagong. Depend on your airflow setups, having a backplate does helps. In some case, it won't.

In theory 30FPS good enough already.
If you 60FPS already even if you can OC 10% more FPS to 66FPS your eyes also cannot see much difference.

Yup some are active backplates, some are passive. In my Zotac 1070 Mini teardown pics, found out its a passive one with a plastic laminate on underside of backplate. No thermal pads to bridge and sink heat onto backplate.

If any functional purpose, it just adds rigidity preventing PCB sag + trapping abit of heat.

tbh i no idea if its "implemented correctly" in 3201 & previous bios...

edit, gpu backplate also reduces chance of mosquito shorting the gpu haha...
