This may be a dumb question, but I'm honestly seeking expert opinions.

Does undervolting/overclocking GPU affect gaming ping times? Because after I further undervolted my Radeon 5700XT from 1120v to 1108v, and overclocked Vram from 1750Mhz to 1800Mhz, my gaming ping times increased by 3-4ms. :s8: Sometimes, my ping time is - after connecting to the server and only displays after some time. :s11: In other cases, servers which would previously gave me 93ms would mysteriously dispay 147ms.

The reason I did that was to reduce GPU temperatures and avoid hitting 76++ degrees at full load.

Any factual advice to confirm or debunk my suspicion would be appreciated. Many thanks! :s12:

Ping is purely a function of the networking pipeline.

Your GPU is not part of that pipeline.

No, I just did that last evening. I'm on M1. In order to clear Windows cache, I also deleted several files including temporary, delivery optimization, Windows distribution software etc. Not sure if that had any impact.

Doesn't makes sense that GPU will affect your network connection. But just to be sure, just try with previous settings and see if there's any difference.
