Does PES E need to reservist?

Hahaha fyi this reddevil has been in this NS forum for many many yrs liao & is probably more snr member than anyone of us here..

He sometimes does contribute some constructive answers BUT maybe less than 20% only.. Most of time he will question back the person who is asking a question or juz answer something for the sake of answering. Eg when someone asks he has a certain slight health issue & what kind of PES will he likely get? Guess what's his anwer? "Anything from PES A1 to F!" hahaha..

So you are saying people here will know a more accurate answer than PES A to F?

well, my guess is that this reddevil was a PES E personnel, and his reservist duties is to comment whatever posts that is to his interest. because only a PES E will be familiar with Mindef policies relating to HR and medical or logistics. No posts by him were related to combat, eMart or IPPT.

My unit got PES E come back for reservists. It really depend if your unit have anything for you to do. If nothing, they will not bother to call you back since you do not needs to do IPPT. Unlike PES A & B, NSmen will complaint if no ICT cause of IPPT & S1 staffs still needs to do work like charge NSmen for IPPT/IPT/RT AWOL or give them allowance for passing IPPT.

I can only say depends on the unit you are posted to because each unit frequency of being called up is different.

Yes, short answer is PES E need to serve.

SAF invented this "PSP" - Personnel Support Platoon together with downgraded sect comd and PC to complement it.

Just serve la ... PES E is usually restricted to admin duties, and you get paid your civilian salary to do such simple tasks.

PES E, including E9L9, are still liable for reservist, regardless of rank.

As what most guys here said, depending on where you are posted to and your rank, you will do mostly admin work with few exception.

Speaking from a Bn level, most NS battalions PES E usually are assigned as clerks and storeman. Most of the PES E people are generally posted to PSP, led by a LTA who, mostly is a PES E status. Haha

In addition to usual clerical admin work, they do things typical of a sai Kang warrior. When the Commander need people to do slides for their own presentation, awards ceremony blah blah... you guys are the first to come in, last to come out. When Battalion goes outfield, it doesn't mean you are lobo in PSP. Your job is to go to AWOL house and get them to come back to camp for ICT. I heard stories where PSP and MPs ganna throw rubbish on them at the AWOL house.

All in all, PES E in reservist not really lobo, it depends on your unit and your vocation. Treat it as a vacation off work and you find a lot of interesting people in your Battalion. You will also find a lot of funny stories and excuses AWOLs and IPPT Defaulters have that will make you cringe and Laugh die AF.
