Is it true that programmers spend a lot of time typing and using the mouse hence without practice their handwriting become weaker?

Doctors write prescriptions all the time and often need to write reports. (Not referring to recent times where they get to use a lot of typing via computers) and still they have one of the worse handwriting of all times.

Don't think handwriting is due to profession, it is majority due to individual choice. Write with ur heart and it will looks nice.
