they work like the original?

It looks original to me la. The cable are quite stiff so I guess it's going to be very long lasting, not like those cheapo cables. But anyway it works can charge fast and can do file transfer.

Will 3rd party cable cause fire or explosion or charger/battery problem or something?

If I use the Docomo cable and connect phone to PC USB port to charge phone, will it charge faster too?

How much faster did it charge when using Docomo cable than normal cable that comes with phone? I am using Samsung S4.

Thanks

If possible, not only get docomo one, but also can get the LG microusb cable (shipped with models from G2 onwards), it's currently ranked no. 1 as a general cable unofficially according to the tests done by some forumers in Taiwan.

They used some devices to check the voltage at the input of the cable and output of the cable and then give the voltage drop per unit length.

Currently this cable has the best score, followed by the docomo one which is already very very good. But of course docomo is longer and has the 2 ferrite beads at both ends, while LG one is just normal cable.

These two cables are considered the 20AWG ones. Samsung original cable is at 23AWG. The lower the number, the higher the current it is able to carry across.
Thanks for the informative reply. :D

I was told that the LG adapter is 2.1A which is higher than SAMSUNG's 2A adapter. So could this be the cause of it's rapid charging rather than the cable itself?

Explosion most likely not unless the cable is really of super lousy quality till it shorts. PC USB ports mostly outputs 0.5A (or 500mA) so even if you use a docomo usb cable i don't think it will charge faster.

If you are using a 2A wall charger and it's charging slower than your pc's usb port, try changing the cable.

the stock sony z ultra cable cable is not bad as well. :D

Just to make my question clear, I understand the docomo cable will charge faster than normal if you connect your phone to the docomo cable to the wall charger.

If you are charging by connecting your phone to the docomo cable and connecting to USB computer port, does the docomo cable charge faster than normal cable connecting to USB computer port?
