If you want to adopt, stop asking for puppies. VFA have many pedigree dogs age 5 and above that were used for breeding by farms. If you are lucky, there might be those between 2 to 4 years of age.
Pedigree dogs - poodle, chihuahua, Maltese, terriers etc.

If you only want pedigree puppies, go buy. 2k-8k depending on breed. Stop being naive. No one in the right mind will give you a pedigree puppy.

commitment - Dogs lifespan 12-18 years dependent on breed.
Cheers

Adopt don’t shop!

Agreed with adopting instead of purchasing from a pet shop! Could consider adopting retired military dogs too! ☺️

The rules are skewed in favour of those living in private properties for adoption
1. Age of adoption.
2. Breeds\size

Seems very random .

I just want any mongrel pup but apparently the only way is to find one on the road somewhere :s13:

I recently went to a famous cat shop in Thomson to look at kittens.
Wah ragdoll $6.5k, wegie $6.5k, munchkin $7k. Scary prices!

Then through a close friend’s connection I found out someone’s cat had a surprise litter.
Went to adopt 2 babies immediately, coming home with me in 6 weeks’ time! (When they’re 3 months old).
Of course there’s an adoption fee involved but nowhere near 7k each.
Suuuuuper cute Turkish angora and Persian mix. :D

Will gpgt when they’re home.
Yes, adopt don’t shop!

Recently I join those xx-breed FB groups, read this problem that problem, somehow I feel is those puppy mill and genes problem? Actually animals should be ‘easy’ to care without health problems?
