Dopping by lectures in uni

To all current uni students, do you know if it's possible for me to drop in on lectures that are being taught? I've been working for 3 years in investment management and want to brush up on some skills/knowledge relevant to my work. It's very targeted knowledge that I need and I know is taught in uni, hence I don't want to go for a full fledged part time degree/masters/postgrad diploma/certificate course. Thanks!

for the local biz schools in the 3 unis, classes are now taught in seminar rooms of 20-30pax and the prof usually knows them by name. It's fiarly obvious if a newface suddenly appears through the semester.

How did i know? i studied there of course. and yeah that idea did come to my mind as well. been fairly rusty since i left school and I have to say the greatest career opportunities always came from the people, events and contacts i met while in uni.

It will be fairly difficult for you to crash classes in business schools, as the classes are generally in seminar style as stated by Potatoe.
It all depends on the seminar tutor/lecturer.

I suggest you read up on related books instead, perhaps you can even buy some current textbooks for a good read.

U can Jus search online for the course recommended text, n read on ur own.

Or u can be thick skinned and try ur luck.

email the prof and ask if you can audit the module as a guest student.

I think SIM mods are not in seminar style, therefore it might be easier to crash their lectures. =)
