Yes it is possible. Having M1 and Singtel at the same time now due to house rental.

Not that uncommon. It's for HA. When one ISP is down, u will have the other as backup.

Unless, there is a fibre cut in your area.

Earlier i have both Singtel and M1 but actually not necessary to have both.
Honestly i never notice any sudden down for M1 fibre. Formerly using Singtel also no sudden down time too. Sometime they have planned maintainance during 2 to 4am which will not affect most users. Using fibre broadband since Sg started having it. In case down just use the back up mobile broadband for urgent surfing and work related use.

How do you sign up for 2 fiber lines? Isn't there only 1 TP so will you need to install another? I never knew you could have 2 but if it is possible I would like to get a backup line.

well ur TP box comes with 2 ports so u can sign up 2 same/different ISP to output ur hse. (same isp not sure if can same user or different user for the sign up)

Not recommended to take same ISP because if one isp down u still have another isp. Different isp their network maintenance date may be different. May be M1 300 Mbps or 1Gbps and SH 300 Mbps as backup line.

2 isp is more than sufficient for home use. The good thing is 300 Mbps quite ok so can have 2 x 300 Mbps. VQ even have 350 Mbps so can also act as backup. For those who want backup line such 300 or 350 Mbps plan look quite attractive.

Used to have vq as a backup and end up the backup line having more outage than the main. Has since made the switch to m1 1gbps as backup.

For those who needs to connect back home for home automation and surveillance will appreciate having 2 ISPs for failover
