The difference btw 10% is about $10k-$15k which is quite a good hard cash. If stocks down, that 10% can used to buy more shares right? But of Coz must yield above 5% like someone said in order to cover up the interests. That 10% can go for holiday also.

Why do you say that no one in sg buy car without taking a loan? If the person has the cash why not? I do not think it's no one.

No one in SG buys car without taking loan. Unless, it's an old clunker with less than 1 year COE.

I personally know more than 5 people who bought a car with no loan.

i agree.. i personally know more than 10 people who pay full cash, or full downpayment for cars at one shot.

Let's stick back to the main objective 50% vs 60% loan

Erm, I thought they already did the calculation for you liao?
Take as little loan as possible unless you can earn more with that $$ you loaned.

i paid my car in cash. brand new. komoco got no penalty. many of the people here got a few hundred thousand cash. some even more than million. what is wrong with paying it with cash?
