i see. ecu tuning will fail inspections anot? if it doesnt then flash direct actually quite ok, rather then having an external chip. cos for me the pros for the external chip is the ability to change back to stock settings and back to tuned settings anytime w/o going back to the tuners

ECUs belong to the designers of the machine, has nothing to do with physical hardware inspection. You think the inspectors will plug in a computer to the OBD, scan your ECU :s13: not even the ADs themselves will risk this apart from the contis where they do scan ECU changes.
Just need to made sure the engine oil tbn don't run out before the servicing. Meaning need to service more often.

buy stock 2L(minimum) turbo car....better than most tuned, 'upgraded' NA car...no need worry will blow up...only problem is keeping the turbo car stock.

actually some CAT A turbo engines add those piggyback ecu like the racechip can up performance to cat b liao(if what they claim is true la) only issue is if their stock transmission can handle it. for instance a certain 1.2T engine stock 131HP and 230Nm add the chip can get until 170Hp and 299Nm. in the end NA cars no hardware upgrade hard to improve performance massively, best is still diesel/turbo :(

Cat A turbos are mostly assisting in moving off, not really performance turbos. It's a psychological thing when they market it as 'turbo' 1.4T becomes 1.8, but at Cat A. 1.2T becomes 1.6 etc.

Performance turbos are more than just that.
