Please note that if you drive via woodlands, you must have touch and go card. The first toll you have to pay via touch and go card, they dun accept cash. Go via Tuas if you do not have touch and go card but more expensive.

I just came back from Malacca. We avoid the jam by leaving as early as 5.30am. I can't help you much on this cos i am following behind my friend's car. I remember that we have to travel along the beach in JB (only a short distance away) before reaching the highway. Exit at Ayer keroh toll, estimated toll around RM30

www.mapdoo.com (Type Johor Bahru and it will show you all the routes)

Hi

We have 3 cars driving up to Malacca in Apr... like to check if there is a petrol kiosk which we can stop regroup and pump petrol after we exit the Keroh Ayer Toll Plaza? If non, then how about a R&R before the Keroh Ayer exit?

So it is a must now to have a TnG for both customs... sigh... was hoping to use link dua and pay RM...

Thnx

tuas can use both TnG and cash la. but best to get the TnG anyway, it's convenient. can also use it for long distance interstate toll.

i think you should stop at machap R&R before you go on lo.

4 hrs? That's really slow, usually take around 2 hr plus in my opinion:s22:

4 hours i can reach KL liao.

There is a Petronas station 1 km after you leave the toll plaza. I would not stop at the R&R stops along the highway. It is not as if I am taking the coach and hence there is no choice. The food invariably sucks. Besides, why eat at such places when Malacca is food paradise?

Sorry to dig this thread.

Upon clearing JB customs, is it to drive up the ramp on the right, or take the left?

I know if take the right ramp, it would lead to the Shell station and car wash/ money exchange.
