Hi, going to Aussie soon with the family. Anything I should take note about driving over there (other than hook turns)?

For eg, in SG, you can overtake when there is a single unbroken white line (but not double). But apparently in Aus, you cannot overtake when there is an unbroken white line (regardless of single or double).

Any other special rules? Especially for intersections which are more risky?

Is the SG license (held less than 1 year) considered a provisional license?

My car rental company rents to green P plate, but it doesn't specify for red P plate. Technically speaking, I'm considered a red P plate equivalent (held less than 1 year). But in SG, my license does not have any restrictions (other than to put up P plate) so it's considered a full license too.

Any idea?

You should check directly with the car rental company whether they have restrictions. For example, whether you need to be a certain age and whether you must have held the license for more than a certain time.
