Hi peeps,
My friend wants to drop out of poly even though this is like only week 6 of poly. My friend wanted to just go NS aftermath. My friend interested in games or maybe Information Tech dip. As the current course my friend in, dont understand at all and the peers/classmate like does not want to teach my friend. However, I think is kinda late for my friend to appeal already.
I dont know whether is it possible to change course or transfer course? Or wait for NS?
Any advice?
Ps, for bad english.

He wasn't privileged to enter his preferred choices?

I never get into my prefernxes but doing well... If he's decent in capabilities then he just needs to be counseled.

I graduate from higher nitec to poly. Your friend is lucky to have a friend like you to worried about him. Yes. I do have the same situation as him. But my biggest fear is mathematics. After attending the lecturer reach home, try to spend an hours at home to try re-cap what he've learnt/understand the part that he don't know. Listening to Lecturer don't understand is because either he don't take 100% attention or the soul is there, but the mind is somewhere else. your friend same course as me, but probably different poly. oO

change course
why waste time, money, effort on something you dread doing it.

ask your friend to find other course or even school he like and go for it

If week 6 nia then go ahead and drop out. Go do NS. I hated my poly course at year 2 but by then too late liao.

Then, I was doing my FYP in a lab with another group and they had a few students who went to do NS first before going poly to study. Quite impressed because they were more mature after NS and more willing to study hard. However, it might be tough initially after 2 years of not using brains...

Since no friends to help, your friend can always go solo.
The teachers are there to help, so ask your friend to book appt with his teachers as many times as possible to ask the thing he don't know.

But I know that most won't listen to this, as many students always like to have as little contact time with the teachers as possible. :s22:
