DSLR - Night Photography

Hi Guys

I would need advise on Nightshoot, new to this.

What would be the most important feature to consider for a Tripod Nightshoot:
1) Low Light ISO
2) Max Shutter Speed
3) FPS

It also depends on what you are shooting at night. For landscape none of the 3 points you listed really matters. Make sure your tripod is study and you have a means to trigger the shutter without shaking the camera (remote, timer, etc.)

For night time street / people photography (or the like), you might want to consider low light, high ISO performance. A camera that performs well at higher ISOs will (in theory) give you a cleaner image.

Tripod only ensure no shaking due to your hands during long exposure. It does not resolve issue where your scenes have movement that you would like to ensure stillness in them.

If your scenes are sceneries with little movements or movements that you would ignore in your long exposure, all the above is irrelevant. You will just need to keep minimal ISO, small aperture(f/5 - f/22, normally f/8) for deep depth of field. I don't see how your FPS comes into play unless you are doing videography.

Use a flash light with a bounce card and/or diffuser and set your flash for slow sync
