@Dragon so the points now extend to 1 year. I not going to question the decision to lengthen it, but surely if this the case therefore the accumulated points leading to various temporary and permanent bans should also be increased.
I mean you increase one, you should make it correspond with the points.
This is a kind of parlour game with some here, even in this sub-forum, to pawn fellow members to see them banned.
Take @bwaysaiguan and even @wendychan (can't tag her, means she's on some kind of ban), they are repeatedly targetted and thus if they say something out of frustration - they get points and 1 year is a very long runway for their enemies to get them banned permanently.
So I hope you revisit this 1 year policy, and see if the accumulated points should be increased correspondingly.
Don't say them even some harmless fella like @jdrevolutionary23 who doesn't really want to quarrel with others, but because of his penchant of posting silly stuff sometimes, is on a very short rope to permanent suspension.
You'll end up losing lots of members who have contributed to the forum and made it a more entertaining place (not just them but many others) because of this increased length. You may say that's a consequence of their transgressions. Perhaps, but what you'll surely be left with is a majority of toxic members who keep coming back as clones and those who are just trolls that want to do others in. This will become the majority eventually as some former members decide it's too much trouble trying to stay onside for 1 full year, only to face points that take an age to clear.
Maybe raise the permanent ban to 55 points, minimum ones start higher than at present. So they have more forewarnings of impending suspensions.
I hope you and DrVijay give this some consideration. I even think these kind of thing, you can ask the membership at large for input or put it to a poll even.
