Static air and non-static air...datavac is made for this..unless you show blatant disregard to a chance to spoil your equipment not worth the try.

Hi Shan, hope you can enlighten me more on this. What difference Datavac pump have from either those coleman air bed pump and the tire pump. I tried to search around but my search skill might not up to par.

I honestly interested in datavac but since I have air bed pump and saw the car tire pressure pump only cost 30 dollar. I can't help to find out more...

While air bed pumps and tire pumps are meant to fill up air, Datavac cleaner is made for the sole purpose of cleaning electrical components.

Static electricity is generated by particles (air, dust, dirt, etc.) being rubbed across the insides of the vacuum and what ever is really close to the nozzle.
As far as I know, there is no way to ground the vacuum cleaner

Might argue the chances of static to spoil your component is overrated but the hassles isn't worth it plus the cleaner could be used for many other stuffs then computers alone.

Another way is canned air to this...

Canned air canisters are dangerous and can contain fluorocarbons (CFCS), halons, carbon tetrachloride, and methyl chloroform that are destructive to our environment. Data-Vac Electric Duster eliminates the need for canned air that emits harmful gasses into the atmosphere.

Definitely it is... seems datavac 500 way to eliminate their chance of static is based on their air filter in the intake area, as I think this model doesn't really come with the so called their anti static air pipe.. thanks for the info.

I own a datavac not really sure how it works...inside.
But its great for cleaning my comp and my Air con I just have to wear a mask.
Only sad part is no international warranty. But they guarantee 5 years motor warranty it really does seem like a strong blower, would recommend it but its better to order it in groups of 3.
I don't think elvin bro is still doing the ordering services but ask around in the forums products like this would always be need it comes with about 4 or 5 type of pipes can't remember.

I bought Makita UB1101 blower ($88) for our company use today.
We are now required to clean those PCs coming back from project sites which are extremely dusty.
