DVD drive issues

Last few months i noticed that my dvd drive got this problem. when i insert a disc it wont read and after a few refresh the dvd drive will suddenly disappear. I checked the sata cables and switch out for a new one also same things happen and i also make sure the cable is not loose or anything.

However the strange thing is when i left the disc in the DVD drive then let it restart the disk drive will read the disc and functioning as per normal. Once i eject and insert the same problems happen again??? Any ideas or similar experience as mine?

Restart if you need to read the disc.

you are asking us to troubleshoot a $25 problem, what kind of answer do you expect?

if got warranty go and repair.

it maybe your windows OS or drivers giving problems or some other drive's driver conflicting your DVD drive drivers, try reinstalling your dvd drivers.
