DVI and HDMI

I'm using gigabyte z77x u3dh mobo with 560ti. The DVI is attached to gfx, while I attached the hdmi to mobo. But I don't get image from HDMI. What should I do?

It wont work. Once you attached the GPU the onboard iGPU will be shut off.

If you want a dual monitor screen you are better off using one more of the connections from your gpu. If the connections does not match to the monitor that you are plugging in to, then you will need a converter.

Hi roy, Thank for the help. Looks like I have to go on with the GPU output.

Z77x-UD3h on with ivy bridge processor should support up to 3 display using both the IGP and discreet graphic card.

Explorer the BIOS option, you should be able to set it to use both IGP and discreet graphic card for dual/triple display.

Sorry just to OT a little regarding iGPU and discrete.

Currently I am using z77, i5-2500k and GTX 660Ti.

My dual link DVI is to the GTX 660Ti.

Will I save power if I disable the iGPU from the BIOS? Currently its left on auto. I am not sure if it is auto disabled if I have a discrete GPU.
