Guys, need some expert advice on this.

Currently, I'm using a XFX HD 6850 graphics card and a VGA-input monitor.

So by default, I'm connecting them both with a vga cable and a DVI-VGA adapter at the end, so all works well. However, these few days, I found that the screws on the card holding the cable came loose, and the cable would require some adjustment every now and then. As I'm quite a lazy person, I feel that I can make use of the HDMI output of my graphics card and connect a HDMI to DVI adapter rather than keep adjusting the cable connecting to the DVI port.

Do you guys think I can possibly pull it off? Or if there is a better alternative
