E-waste recycling

My computer seems to be dying and I would like to dispose of it cleanly (environmentally speaking) if possible.

What are my options? Looking at NEA's website, the only program (Panasonic one) that takes in desktops has ended...

If I bring to a shop (when building a new comp), will they help in transplanting some parts (ssd and gfx) and then recycling the rest? (still got mobo, ram and PSU...casing). I don't care if they want to 'use' it, or they throw it away (in an environmentally friendly way).

Do all shops do this? Or are certain shops more 'friendly' in this regard?

You can just leave it beside the recycling bin.

In the past you can send junk IT to Funan IT mall but since
it is demolish guess that is your only choice.
The Starhub E-waste bin is located in most SG area but
you need to strip down your PC.

Don't understand the part in blue. I have seen pple leaving TVs, speakers, printers, computers, etc, beside the bin. It may get unsightly for a while until they were removed. Otherwise they should get recycled?

it will get incinerated. Any bits of base metals (if any) above 2mm will get recovered, but very small amts of precious metals probably won't be..
