If you are not going to be there, forget it, you might as well donate the money to charity. It will be a waste of time. Have a read what i have said earlier in this topic - 3 May. No one knows better than your children. Your maid, your mum and dad are not as good/committed as you.
Parents with special needs children, needs four things - money, time, commitment and sanity.
Money is the hardest - No income how to support the therapy. However, input <> output. Sometimes you keep throwing money into dark hole and see no results. Why? It takes time. Read what I wrote on 3 May.
Time - no one has time. Time is money. So, you have to decide how much time you as the parent are willing to commit to your child.
Commitment - Commitment stinks. Day in day out, you can be doing the same thing. You kept asking yourself, can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? Or is it still dark? That perseverance and commitment for you. However, you have to maintain your sanity.
Sanity - That is mind over matter. That to me encapsulate the other three that I have mentioned. If your sanity goes, the other three will go as well.
The journey is long and never ends, but you can see fruits along the way if you put in the effort.
