Eczema sufferer myself but not using taking and using steroid based stuff. Using Hope's Relief cream that is suitable for Eczema, Psoriasis and Dermatitis. Cortisone free and have natural ingredients like Manuka honey UMF 10+, Aloe Vera. It helps to lessen the itch and flare ups. No vested interests, just trying to help and let others know there are steroid free alternatives out there. Hope's Relief - the leading eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis natural treatment

how to ship to sg or it can be found in sg?

had eczema since 6.. mom brought me to all sorts of doctors. from atas gleneagle private practice to nsc to polyclinic to tcm, basically you name it.

ive been using steroids too. it disappeared for a good decade or so but its back with a vengeance now

just got prescribed with 6 tubes of steroids. there are a lot of side effects, just google whatever cream uve been given and u will find it. (i was given betasone 0.1% and 0.025%)

been spamming moisturizing creams too.. cetaphil physiogel aqurea qv, etc... sigh

and shedding tons of skin. everyday i sweep up a small heap. :s22:

Try not to use too much steriod.

I had ezcema since 15.. at first was dignosed at NSC as psorisis then went thro UV therapy..then i dunno wat happen become ezcema. Very sad coz UV therapy will age the skin very fast.. Im 35 now and look like 40

Ezcema sufferer since baby...

Gets bad on hot weather and when in contact with moisture that dont dry( like stuck under the clothes)

Usually as long as i dont sweat=no outbreak.
In hot sun/temp more than 28/29 degrees cfm will itchy itchy one...

Now play less sports and stay indoors more really control alot.

Army got such thing as excuse hot weather or not?

If cool weather i can still do stuff.

Hot weather cannot do anything, must scratch. I cannot control one..
When very very itchy and I dont scratch or find some form of release i will tense up alot and even break out in cold sweat.

Actually i have no problems with itchy itchy but i cant control. I scared army later marching marching suddenly say itchy itchy cannot scratch but will tense up and end up also cannot march properly.

Go army can get special permission to scratch or fidget or not?

Its either i scratch or fidget about so how?

Ezcema people should be exempted from army, or at least from bmt.

Not say i chao keng or what, my ezcema will be my biggest concern when I go army.

It does help to lessen the itch and inflammation though it stings just a bit if the skin is broken. I have been using it for two days as I don't want to use any steroid based stuff. Also need to look into diet, lifestyle, in other words, holistically. The ingredients (manuka honey UMF 10+, aloe vera, calendula, gotu kola, licorice root) do help with eczema.

It isn't cheap at $31.90 but I gladly use this any day over steroid creams. Steroid only suppress the problem but when it comes back, it is hits back with vengeance. Prolonged usage of steroid thins the skin and taking them orally harms the liver and kidneys.

I also came across ITSAN. But i havent totally quit ... yet

Twice i tried to quit applying my steriod creams... within 2 weeks i feel the effect. bleeding oozing flaking.. i think the worse part was oozing. its just depressing looking at it keep oozing those stuff. dunno to wipe or leave it.

now i go back to applying abit :(

You are probably suffering from the withdrawal effects of vasodilation, due to withdrawal.

I have quit full time for about 8 months.. Have started another website portal to share my knowledge and curate info around the web.

Realise that alot of people do not know what Eczema is exactly. Some of you here might be suffering from steroid-induced eczema.

Feel free to visit EczeMag - Your Eczema Portal for more information.

No moisturizers?

umm I use it once on a daily basis.

then what do you suggest then?;P

Nothing. Go natural, let your skin adapt naturally.

It is weird and difficult for me as well, since all the doctors told me to use them all the time. My skin wasn't improving, until only when I quit using them.

Heard about the no-poo movement? It is similar in idea and concept.

I was advised to do light therapy at NSC too. Didn't go ahead with it and managed to cure my own symptoms by abstaining from topical steroids and moisturizers.

NSC is probably the worst place to go if you have eczema, because they prescribe you tons of different topical steroids over a long duration of time, and there is the risk of having adrenal suppression and all the other physical side effects such as steroid-induced eczema, topical steroid dependency and addiction.

I just got mine from them yesterday! Quite alot of stocks.
Tried the soap and cream together. Effect is quite good but will have to use a couple more times to see if it really works for me.

As we all know, skin issues are different from people to people.
