Wow .. may get

Just saw some pictures, looks good. It is actually based off the Half-Track (my bad). I'm optimistic for the price as Viper Knives has an Italo that is Carbon Fiber and M390 below USD 200.

XM-Slippy might be in 20CV and they aim to keep the price below 300.

WE Knives prototypes are looking bloody good. Those CF inlays look really well done.

I'm putting up this Kotoh Folding Higo Knife for sale. Asking $120 but will listen to reasonable offers.

https://carousell.com/shikiwaru/?query=kotoh

Overall Length: 143mm
Blade Length: 57mm
Cutting Edge: 55mm
Handle Length: 85mm
Closed Length: 104mm (tang inclusive)
Blade Material: Hitachi SLD/SS3 [D2 equivalent]
Blade Style: Modified wharncliffe
Blade Grind: Flat
Finish: Satin
Handle Material: Padauk Burl
Weight: 20g / 0.71oz

More information is provided in the listing. Reason for selling is because I bought 2 and I'm selling 1 to spilt the cost of shipping and handling.

Really good price for a custom/handmade piece by a veteran knifemaker.

DM me on Carousell to deal or PM me here.

Still available. I've put a leather lanyard on the knife and it will be included for free.

Also selling a leather knife sleeve/pouch. Dimensions are approximately 10.6cm by 5.8cm.

This one is $10 mailed and the knife in picture is not included.

Don't think the local distros carry anything higher than the standard spyderco/benchmade/zt/cold steel. Your best bet is an overseas dealer or the usual forums.

Received a package from Echizen Japan yesterday. My pics didn't do it justice though.

Hello guys!! Asking for honest opinions here.. If you were to pick between a Zt0456 and a Brous VR-71, which one would you choose and why? Thanks!

Zt for sure. The fit and finish on brous blades is extremely shabby. I've held a few and have never been impressed by them. Off-centered blades, uneven liners poor action, poor tolerances and most of all, expensive for what they bring to the table. Zt for me, any day, any time.

Of course, these are just my thoughts.

From all the reviews I've seen, the fit and finish on the Brous doesn't seem that bad. In fact, people are complimenting on them. But I must agree that they are overpriced. What put me off from getting the vr-71 is the damn screws. They have the same damn screws as my $50 Kershaw. Ruined the overall look IMO.
Anymore replies would be appreciated! Thanks!

Anyway, the China made knives like reate seem to be putting out really great stuff... Premium steels, good f&f, reasonable prices... That's another avenue you can explore

I'll put my vote for a ZT. They have better warranty and F&F. I personally think they have better designs and materials used too.

Like mamba said, F&F on a Brous is sketchy. I don't know where you're getting your info from, but the general consensus is they're not so good.

Since we're on the topic of fit and finish in knives, what do you guys look for in your knives, be it to keep in the collection, or as users?
