Hi its my first time getting knives in general. I am looking for a EDC knife as well as maybe tactical folding knife. The following list of models are what I might be getting from knifeworks.

Kershaw Blur

Kershaw Cyclone

Kershaw NRG

Kershaw Barrage

Reasons for choosing the above folders include value for money and reviews from the nutnfancy project on youtube.

My concerns are the legality of the above knives in sg, as well as the process of clearing custom if need be (i.e cost of clearance? as well as license cost?)

Hope to get some inputs (i.e any other websites besides knifeworks to shop?)before I place the order

from my newby experience i think that the spyderco tenacious is excellent value for money . you might want to give it a shot!

Hi where did you get at promo price?

Cutlery Shoppe... US$107 IIRC. Also ordered 2 Spyderco Hossom Forrester from them. Large knives however means expensive shipping. These were detained by Customs and had to clear them at AED. Quite a hassle...

Made a mistake... Ordered the Woodlander. Both arrived safely without customs intervention. Wife was surprised and asked why these got through fine but the Rock Salts got detained. God knows how they work but I'm not going to complain, saves me a trip to AED. Pics tomorrow, hard to take decent pics at night without proper lighting.

Nice! I am looking to get the rock salt, but they are out of stocks and will never be replenished again. :( Knifeworks still have those though but not at the sales price.

If you're still keen I can recommend you a contact but you need a PP account. Just make sure you're sure about buying. Reasonable price if he still has them.

First up... The Manix 2 w/ blue G10 handle scales and S30V stainless steel blade. Very nice knife w/ a full flat ground blade. 500pcs Sprint Run. Designed by Eric Glesser, son of Sal Glesser, president and chief designer of Spyderco. Pics also shows his mark on the knife.

Thanks bro I have made the purchase ! Can't wait for the rock salt and pacific salt! :D

Latest update... Rock Salts are being discontinued. Anyone on the fence about getting 1 or 2 should really think about getting it soon.

More knife porn...

Spyderco Superhawk

My first hawkbill blade. Very overbuilt... Carbon fibre handles, ZDP189 blade steel and compression lock. For those who have never used a compression lock it is similar to a liner lock with one major difference... To disengage you thumb the spine. This has several advantages. It means your finger is clear from the path of the blade as it closes and it also means it is quite lefty friendly. The Paramilitary also uses this lock.
