9 (or above) tiles of the same colour revealed will automatically bao that colour IF and ONLY IF the person game qing yi se.. same thing goes if the 9 tiles are all 'word' tiles..

if the person got 3 triplets of bamboos revealed but game with hong zhong.. (a.k.a half colour + pung pung + hong zhong = 5 tai) that one no hamburger..

general thumb of rule for bao is:
yi se: 9 or 12 tiles revealed = bao that colour..
da pai: 4 or more tais revealed = bao da pai..
3 yuan, 4 xi: 2 sets of 3 yuan or 3 sets of 4 xi revealed = bao the last set..
qing pai: last 5 draws = bao any tile which havent come out in the entire game..
8th flower: a person who collected 7 flowers awaiting for last flower = bao the last flower..

Good afternoon peepurs.

I just gamed a da san yuan zi mo on Saturday night after the wedding dinner. Totally covered my $128 ang bao.

8 tai for 3/6 stakes plus $2 for zi mo = $52 per person = $156 in total for that game.

last 5 draw as in last 5 tiles or 5 rows ? we always play last 4 rows... and btw any tile which havnt come out in the entire game is mean tile that isnt present on the table so far or can it be tile that are not on the table BUT is oredi shown on the reveal cards(aredi chi or pong) of any players?

last 5 cards.

bao qing means cards that are not present on the DISCARDED pile. even if the card ppl eat before is still counted as qing..

correct me if wrong

Wuming, usually pp play last 7 tiles is bao KANG (i.e. if you shoot and someone kang, you pay for the other two).

For bao QING, it's last 5 playing tiles. Like what cielru said, cards which never appear in discarded pool are considered QING, regardless pp pong / chi them. So ideally, each person has a turn to bao QING.

do correct me if i'm wrong :)
