Problems usually arise from ID information being different across telcos, or if your current plan is due for renewal soon
If you activate your eight SIM card or eSIM today, usually porting in starts on the same day at night around 10pm to 11pm. Takes 1-3 days to complete assuming no issues with your ID information between telcos, and/or your current plan is not up for renewal
We don’t know. If you don’t receive it, best to go to Ubi service centre with your physical IC to collect and initiate port in there. We do not recommend going to any other service centre other than the one at Ubi, based on our experience

yes, talk time minutes will be deducted from IDD allowance for all calls made to overseas numbers, or received from overseas numbers. Same applies if calling overseas or receiving overseas calls when you’re in Thailand (for example).
