Thanks for the reply
I'm looking to port out by end of the month. As not in Sg now, so thinking to apply online for sim card via mail this week, sim card via mail should be received before Christmas and can activate it for port-in when I go for holiday from Christmas to year end. Think this should be workable

Just to update that my plan worked out well, so share my experience for this round.

15/12 (Sun) - Registered for account (port-in) via SingPost delivery.
19/12 (Thurs) - checked letterbox, not received yet.
22/12 (Sun) - back from oversea to find SIM card in letterbox, so most likely received on Fri while I was away.
23/12 (Mon) - activated SIM card just before 7pm. Free one month credit from port-in promo also added to main wallet.
10.05pm - received SMS from Eight that port-in request successful and redOne account deactivated.

Guess both under StarHub, fast and smooth ✌🏻

Oh no.. anyone encountered before? after not touching the free 88 days plan when it expired late Oct, I just renewed the plan (within 60 days grace), so seemed like it was successfully renewed, but I just realized I can't make or receive calls, but data is alright. Have emailed them, but knowing their responses are very slow, any idea what can I do?

Renewed just after 12am, so have been more than 12h
Sounds like volte compatibility problem if you already restarted your phone..pretty much renewal is quite instant..maybe try other phones with volte supported and see if it's eight or phone problem.

Have recently subscribed to Eight mobile service. Overall it is good value for money but please bear this in mind, I experience many no mobile data signal along circle line (I thought Eight is using Starhub but why still experience no signal? Pretty frustrating especially for someone monitoring some realtime data). So do take note for those who about to subscribe to Eight. If this continue, I might just revert back to Circle Life or Vivfi, but then different people have differet experience.

Eight does not work for me anywhere. Initially was good. But recently the routes I usually took is so slow.
I just did a speedtest across 3 networks last night at the same place using my family’s lines.
Maxx gave me a download/upload speed of 119.8/14.9mbps. My recently changed zym gave me 380.3/21.5mbps while Eight is a pathetic 9.67/5.37mpbs.

Wish I could upload all 3 print screen for you but it’s so slow. Switching my wife’s eight to zym after breakfast now.

choose what suits your needs not because of price factor and the extras only

May I know which area you do speed test? All three mvnos same price plans?

suggest to use real world test, and not speedtest

e.g. whether youtube video playback is smooth without hiccups

or maybe how fast to download a large pdf file

Not yet try eight. Simba can't do multitasking well. Meaning sending whatapp video and can't surf at the same time. Need to wait whatapp completed the task then can surf smoothly.

Totally agree must use real life test which I have tried across the various mvno when my family and I go to various places and while others have no issues using or watching YouTube, mine stutters and spins and don’t load.

What don’t work for me may work for others but I have monitored across few months so yes, it’s time to go. Just switched my wife’s Eight out this morning too, waiting for porting.

The place I tested last night is Bukit Timah and yes all plans are relatively similar at $8-$10. Cheers.

Among the 3 mvno zym is the best for you at your routes at BT area?

So the best is ZYM? But their package seems to be worse than giga, 8 in terms of auto roaming. How is ZYM comparing against Vivifi?

Each of the mvno have their strong n weak points. Best is get 2 combo. Example: Singtel mvno + starhub mvno if your phone support 2 sim cards. I cross out m1 sorry.
To get the best of their performance is to use 5g handset.
