if you are coming from starhub, your experience with eight will likely be the same.
It'll be the same coverage as StarHub's 4G network because that's the network Eight uses in Singapore. StarHub's 4G coverage in Singapore is excellent. However, you won't get 5G service in Singapore on Eight. (StarHub and M1 are jointly building a 5G network in a partnership, so 5G coverage and network performance should be identical between StarHub and M1.) With Eight occasionally you may get lower network priority than "main" StarHub subscribers on 4G might get.

If you're currently on StarHub, giga!, CUniq, or redONE then shut off 5G (if enabled) and you'll understand what coverage you'll get on Eight because you're currently getting exactly the same 4G coverage in Singapore. If you're on giga!, CUniq, or redONE the network prioritization should be similar. If you're on StarHub you might get lower network prioritization on Eight when/where the 4G network has high demand.

If i allow the line to expire more than 60 days, will the line be terminated?

If not, can I recharge 6 months later (overseas) and continue to use the line from month 7 or do l have to pay the full 7 months subscription?

Max is 1 month+ IIRC thereafter, likely will be terminated since deemed inactive as have lapsed for one month.

eight function like prepaid card (even though it claims to be postpaid)

Can you explain this in a way that's easy to understand? I'm not very familiar with this.
For eg. if I have 588 mins local talk time, I used 88 mins this May 25. Can I carry over those 500 minutes to next month and skip paying the $8 subscription fee?

  • What happens if I do not renew my plan?
    • If you miss the date to renew your plan, you can renew it the next day. Simply do it on eight account or visit our retailers/ service centre.
    • At your plan expiry, the plan will go into a grace period of 60 days. During which you can receive SMS and notification to recharge. After 60 days, you will continue to receive SMS, however all unused wallet credit will be forfeited.

AFAIK cannot carry forward, have to pay monthly to stay active.

But someone said it functions like a prepaid card. I thought I would top up only when the talk time ends.

So for that unpaid month you'll have limited use.

Yeah, which will essential meet his requirement by just paying for 3 months instead of 6 months. :s13:

was in Japan for 10 days and must say the international roaming connection is pretty decent.

thought that I'll overshot the 8GB international data ($11.80 plan) but ended up only use 5.5GB for moderate usage. was able to receive otp sms and log into account to check the balance daily.

Hi, anyone managed to sign more than 3 lines? The faq states that can sign 10 lines but the system doesn’t allow me to.
