The most important part for me now is the n1 band (2100mhz) that 5G is on.
Speed is not the fastest (not the n78 3500mhz band) but n1 is another band for reception where instances of places using 4G LTE B3,7,38 of Starhub doesn't give any signal or coverage. I see it as giving me another band to latch on. More options the better.

I don't see how you'll get any coverage help with N1 (2,100 MHz) if you can't get B8 (900 MHz) from the same tower. Even B3 (1,800 MHz) from the same tower is going to punch through a little better.

If StarHub has N1 deployed on a separate tower that's relevant to your location, OK, fair enough.

The latest spectrum for 5g is n28 (700mhz APT) that is meant for further indoor penetration signal. Waiting for them to farm. Singtel started end Oct 2024 with this, and this past June the payment from starhub seems to be through to IMDA.

N28 might boost coverage a bit, but I don't think it'll be a big deal given how solid StarHub's B8 coverage is already.

This. I kid you not, there were instances last year switching to 5G alleviated my data hanging on LTE.

Could be also at that location, LTE too congested and 5G helped to get data through. Can't exactly determine.

Haven't had much luck on starhub B8; is it solid? I almost never seem to latch on that.. strange.

The bottomline is: it's not the frequency the radio is farmed under; it's the other frequency that I latched on, that gives me a better, less congested backend.

It's the "got signal, no data" conundrum.

Nothing 8xciting , wait for National Day 60 - maybe $6 for 60 days, 600GB.

Won't be able to use so much data also.

The real game changer is 8gb international roaming and remove the APAC roaming.

Recently Eight speed have great improvement mostly more then 100Mbps.

Whereas Simba seldom get 5G connections but 4G+ only ,speed mostly 40Mbps. Simba plus point only oversea data roaming higher quota eg China

Only under load, and only sometimes. SIMBA may not be able to do anything about that.

i mean anyone on voice call? TEL is rather noisy in the tunnels, i couldnt quite differentiate if it's the voice quality or phone.

Simba's VoWifi is also much more reliable than 8.

It was pretty alright for TEL when I was still with Eight ... Perhaps do more testing to determine if it's signal, phone or just noise pollution issue??

I have not tried vowifi with Simba or Eight .

Don't think there is any .. per Mr potter, even he didn't met any minimum months or weeks of stay
