Currently, payment of Eight's subscription fee is via CC linked to the account.

Any idea when overseas, after using up the allocated 2GB international, will the roaming stop or will it carry-on and charge to my CC. No credit in Eight's wallet.
What I read a while ago if you don't have a wallet balance and use up 2 GB, it means no data to roam anymore. You will need to top up.

It will auto cut off and no data can be used until you purchased additional roaming data add-on.

Just immediately upgrade to the 11.80 plan and you will get fresh new 8gb overseas data. Cheaper than the add on data. Come back can downgrade back to the original plan.

This is probably going to be the best course of action for most people, unless you happen to just need a bit more, then renewing the $8 plan could make sense.

can top up like $5 or need to be multiples of $10 ?
ANY amount subjected to a minimum of $1.00.
Eg. $1.01 works, $0.99 doesn't.
I managed to top up something like $1.34 around a month back.

This is on eight's web page in the account using CC/paynow, for eight there is almost no need to use an app.
Not sure what is the arrangement on app/retailer/service center.

Also check for single day esims on Shopee for your country if you just need for a few days. Some countries the esim dirt cheap, like China for 7 cents per day.

Once you tasted 5G. You will never want to go back.
i wholeheartedly agree with you.
I thought 4G was enough for me, but when I tried Zym's 5G, it is like having a stone cleared in my urethrae. the speed was quick!
Actually, I was from GOMO 5G, but went to Eight because of better connectivity during my daily commute on peak hours inside EW line tunnel.

if you are old enough, u will know why using 4G network is like having a stone in urethrae. :s13: :s13: :s13: :s13: :s13: :s13: :s13: :s13:

YMMV, I have both eight 4G and M1 Maxx 5G.

My 4G outperforms the 5G for this morning's commute.
I was able to do everything on my 4G smoothly but my 5G M1 is having the circle of death on game and streaming videos.

Not all 4G service is that bad. Not all 5G is that great. #reliability

I think it's dependant on the phone model and network coverage.

Last Sat my family went out around 11am to Gardens by the Bay, Vivocity, etc. Only went back home at 9 plus pm.

Before went out, my wife's iphone 15 pro max was 70% battery (using m1 Maxx 5G - 5G On). When back home, the phone still have 30% battery. She was surfing facebook and tiktok videos while the kids were playing during the day.
I was told by someone as NSA is using more battery than SA since NSA set many channels to get 5G speeds. Is it true?

Where is it? mrt? Mrt uses nsa, not sa. But true, some places have stronger 4G than 5G. 5G SA is still being deployed island wide whereas 4G is already well established.

DTL towards Expo. My M1 Maxx 5G starts to airplane mode along the MacPherson stretch while my eight 4G was still alive and fighting. Good to have two phones with different networks

But honestly, I also don't feel any difference between the 5G SA and my eight 4G when above ground.

SA should load websites faster due to lower pings. But in terms of speed, unl3ss one is downloading huge files, won't feel much difference. It's like home BB. One can also watch Netflix 4k hdr with no lag on a 500mbps service, dun really need 1gbps or 10gbps. But when one download the shows to view offline, then one will appreciate the higher speed during downloading.
