The lag due to the message getting throttled by their worsening 4G network congestion?

I agree. But for those like me who had top up a bit during one for one promo and already at 5G. The 5G is technically at 50% off for the coming year. One year plan cannot use main credits so too bad.

That would mean I can downgrade to $8 plan after the 2nd month's billing, then I'll be on $8 plan after the 88 days?

You will be charged $8 per month for 3 months with free 5g data plan.

After these 3 months, you will be charged $14.8 per month to retain the 5g plan.

I agree it is too bad that one year plan cannot use the main wallet balance.

Hope eight can change this policy soon.
