Speed test on 4g plan at JB aeon tebrau mall.

I find the coverage and speed to be more than decent, managed to stream live videos without much breaks. On Samsung fold 8.

It does say “including rollover data” … but…
Anyone on 5G+ Power plan can confirm that APAC and Intl data rolls over?

Yesterday port out from Eight to StarHub to buy the new iPhone 18 Pro max. At the StarHub shop, the moment the staff help me filled the port in request, within 1 minute my Eight line is deactivated and the StarHub line don’t even got a chance to show the temporary number, immediately became my Eight number. Even the staff found this to be too fast!

Yeah, I know the text says so, but looking for those of us whose quota shows double the entitlement when new cycle begins. For your case, 2x38 and 2x18 GB.

Ya la, everyone knows that, and yet the port in discount is applicable. Also, for those who wanna maximise their paid Eight monthly subscription, can choose to hold till very last moment to do this kind of port over. But also keep in mind that, if you rely on any SMS OTP service, this immediate switching off can create some inconvenience, especially when you need to perform new phone data transfer before using it with the new ESIM.

I just now changed my dad's plan to 5G+ $6.80 Senior Plan. The speed is much much faster than 4G.

Also, there's an option to fall back to old 4G plan at $5 after 1 month.
Where do you see the option to downgrade? I heard from a retail shop that it’s no longer possible to sign up for 4G plans but the existing plans can continue.

for existing users, go to the app -> Plan / Add ons / Top Up, scroll down and can see the 4G plans

Supposedly you can not pay yearly plan with your wallet as per eight FAQ.

Just wondering how you do it. Thanks. Looks like there is a system loophole then.

https://www.eight.com.sg/help/mobile/

Can I use my wallet credits to purchase the 1-Year Plan?

The 1-Year Plan is a special deal so it can’t be paid using existing wallet balance. You can use the existing wallet balance to buy monthly plan/ add-ons. Thank you for your understanding!
It is not possible to use the wallet credits for yearly plan. There were many who tried and couldn’t.

My next recharge is 10 Oct.
I've previously manually set next recharge to new 5G+ plan.

Since eight auto upgraded before new bill cycle, does that mean I'll get current unused roaming data rolled over on 10 Oct? Means I'll get 36GB APAC roaming data for use in China?
My unused roaming data was NOT rolled over from the mid bill cycle auto upgrade by 8.
My new bill cycle in Oct is just 18GB APAC and 6GB international.

Okay, thanks! That's what I needed to know.
Anyone else encountering the same?
i.e. auto-updated by backend to new 5G+ plan, but when entering new cycle, there was no rollover of roaming data.

Guess to be safe, I'd better switch my auto-recharge to Fortune plan for the next cycle starting 14 Oct in preparation for travel.
