Anyone managed to port out from Eight to other telco? Realised that Singtel and GOMO will state it is not a postpaid number when trying to port over. Tried to port to giga, and they faced issue porting in.

Eight FAQ as well as their FB comments state that it can be ported out.

Switching to another telco, so far, no green light for port in for eight SIM, only my ZYM side did manage to port into the telco I want to port my eight SIM to. Will update status soon.

Thinking to port in.. kindly help with a few queries:

1. Port in to the $0 plan confirm can? Their FB got comments saying must choose the paid plans
2. Any difference to collect sim at their service centers vs roadshows?
3. Can their app or website do credit card recurring payment? or still via Shopee topup?
4. Anyone tried porting from giga? I still have 1 week before giga monthly charge, not sure in time or not

1. If the comments from FB are from eight themselves, who are we here to say can? Look for replies from Eight Telecom.
2. Don't think roadshow can collect SIM.

1. Can. I managed to port in from Heya to Eight $0 plan.
2. I collect from Ubi coz walking distance for me.
3. Both can.

my friend choose port esim eight from starhub.currently stuck..starhub line straight no line after submit port in..been waiting for 4days line still the same..call starhub said port in failed ask eight to resubmit..eight said porting still pending never state failed..

Give up on eight? It's merely a qn for those who tried porting out of eight to other telco which cannot be found on their FAQ.

eight is a postpaid plan, when you port out it won't suddenly become prepaid. I only heard of prepaid become postpaid, never heard of postpaid downgrade to prepaid. Not sure about Heya, because it use singtel prepaid infrastructure.

I signed up for port in yesterday via their website at 10am, collected my new card around 11:30am.

at 11:00pm, my old sim from heya shows no signal. Then I pop in the new eight sim card with the temp number then I go and sleep. Wake up 5am, already ported over coz my OTP works with old number. No sms, no email no nothing to inform me.

Overall the experience quite alright and fuss free, I have no negative given that it's $0 plan.

No, for eSIM, the moment they send you eSIM email, start already if I not wrong. For physical sim, the moment you collect your sim from the service centre, it start already. for delivery, you key in the activation code, it start already

But the bill recurring every 30 days, they don't go by calender date. So no point. E.g. 1 Aug you port in. The next bill will be 31 Aug.

No, for eSIM, the moment they send you eSIM email, start already if I not wrong. For physical sim, the moment you collect your sim from the service centre, it start already. for delivery, you key in the activation code, it start already

And for delivery, if you don't key in the activation code for a certain period of time, they might decide to disable the SIM card because they thought it's not been delivered?
