You never get any email from them to choose a plan as the trial plan is going to expire ?

I don't think can carry on the $0 plan. Like that a lot of people will be on the $0.
They lose big money.

Based on their reply on facebook, I think must choose another plan. Either $8 or $18
No email. But then they are offering $0 monthly plan right? So people just cancel and apply for new sim?

Anyone's free plan expired? Need to contact 8 to cancel the line or just let it lapse?

It is easy to find out. Originally the plan was 88GB for 88 days and it wasnt monthly cycle.

Now, when I login it shows 84GB out of 88GB left and expiry is 18jul
I signed up on 19th may so it seems now it has been converted to the monthly cycle.

It dont make sense for them to just terminate the plan.
So my guess is everyone who was on the original free trial plan are migrated to the $0 monthly plan.

I will login again on 19th jul and check if the plan has been refreshed.
Anyways I have sent email for termination for 1 of the lines.
I will port in 1 of my numbers and then based on the experience I will cancel the other free plan and sign up new $0 plan.

But this sounds too good to be true. Actually both the plans which I want to port out are circles Flexi $0 lol.
I cant beleive we can have 88Gb for free and 1gb roaming somemore. How will the other telco's survive?
Huh, 88 days become 2 months?

Current cycle expiring or line validity expiring? Don’t confuse the two…

Mine has

Current Cycle Expiry: 24/07/2024

And

Super Eight Plan

Starts on 2024-07-25

I think we will know in the 3rd month. Since 88 days means the 3rd month cycle should be less than 30 days.

as of now and for the next 2 weeks you can still make calls over eight(Starhub) 3G if you want.

But there is no disadvantage to turning on VoLTE. it improves call quality and decreases latency.
wondering if you are the official Eight representative as in your ID ..

Not official eight, but eight has pretty good deals, can say i am a big fan 😂

I was talking about the need to Pre-Pay but they are still actually postpaid plans in the system, not pro-rating which depends on telco. As far as i am aware the only MVNOs that let you pay-later are Vivifi and Circles.

A lot of these Pre-Pay postpaid plans also just terminate your line (within a grace period) if you don't pay up, unlike a traditional postpaid/phone contract line where you can actually own them money. It is mentioned in the CIS which you agreed to when you sign up. You can actually let these plans just "expire" if you really want to.

it is impossible to convert back from Postpaid to Prepaid. People here like to speculate for their porting mistakes, like ID mismatch, Wrong number, or didn't know that they violated some agreement with their existing telco (e.g. minimum 2 month stay)
The $0 for 88 days will expire or will go on to renew itself for $0 as 30 days cycle ?

According to eight CIS, after 88 days you will be given a grace period of 60 days to renew your plan or it will be terminated.
Can renew to the $0 plan or must choose $8 or $18 ?

Some are asking here. I curious to know also because do not need so much data as I don't download stuffs or play games.

You can cancel the $0 plan and sign up $0 plan again (since the free trial is still ongoing)

They already said its 88 days. The renewal just means you get to use (almost) 3 months x 88GB.

But of course, there is no way i can prove it. The $0 plan trial started on 19 June 2024 and nobody has reached 88 days yet.

It does not make sense financially as a business to continue giving free plan with 88GB
My guess is also to choose $8 or $18 after the 88 days expire.

If continue $0 plan then they confirm lose money.

At least make the 88GB plan $4 should be possible business plan. 😂

But their business is eight so the lowest price should be $0.80 🤣

New telco deals always appear.

There is also Zero1 $7.06 for 6GB (unlimited at slow speeds) but i am supposed to be eight salesperson
Agree. Data is getting cheaper and cheaper but most people do not need it and so it get competitive for consumers to get the lowest data and cheapest ..
