Simba has been quite a disappointment for me lately, while I admittedly can't say I've much faith in Singtel as my main line, much less Gomo. Luckily Eight saved the day, thanks to eSIM being available for me to switch around

Saturday could be a contributing factor, similar to the time a friend's and my Singtel died near City Hall station, and also his died in the middle of IMM'S atrium

my perception of Simba's main utility is as affordable roaming, based on comments. Not a subscriber, so have not tested it out yet.

That's why i asked about saturday. i suspect the crowd will be the same as weekday rush hour. I used to stay in clementi and bukit batok, so i am very familiar with that stretch, and the lack of coverage in the stations . its the above ground lack-of-coverage that is news

that confirms my experience on ST postpaid and gomo. I suspect they have not kept up with adding repeater cells in crowded places. Maybe its the perception that subscribers will put up with inferior service levels, or the perception that subscribers are not loyal so no need to increase coverage. Of course, this leads to a self-fulfilling situation where the subscribers leave because coverage is bad, so therefore the decision not to increase coverage is justified

song song.. in thailand since 24 Jul. managed to use the 8gb roaming until 18th Aug and then get another 8gb during the renewal.

other than roaming data, the roaming callback also shiok. can call bank, insurance company without any inconveniences.

eight really saves money.

just 1 qns, while roaming in APAC countries, do i get charged for incoming singapore call? or incoming calls from other countries?

other than roaming data, the roaming callback also shiok. can call bank, insurance company without any inconveniences.

that's why I port from starhub to eight because of free 8gb data roaming and free idd calls

incoming calls in overseas considered idd call mins. Will deduct from your idd talk time

I am not able to get OTP from their website while trying to login to my account after ported in this morning but bank & insurance OTP is ok. Any got the same issue?

Just port over maybe wait another 24/48 hours. Sometimes some website or bank OTP not updated still sending the sms to your old telco instead of StarHub/8 network.

I can receive OTP from banks & other services except 8 mobile's own website: https://account.eight.com.sg/login when I tried to access my account.
