If it did not work for you, change to one that works, as suggested by others. Can try zym. More expensive but singtel network is the best.

8 local connection is quite bad . if you don't need the 8gb apac roaming , strongly recommend to avoid 8.

For $2 more per month , much better to go for Zym

I would chose $12/mth poison for 5GB int roaming. What for people do 10GB in Malaysia roaming, you go JB is eat, play, watch movies, buy groceries, not go there stream Twitch or speed tests.

5GB for $12 plan is good only till end of 2024, unless it is extended.

based on Simba trends, it will be extended. Such a good package that other telcos doesn't offer.
They did it previously on the 50GB SIM only plan, then they give free 50GB become 50+50, and it was extended and became perm. Zym did that too with free data and keep extending. So likely, no telco will not extend.

Hopefully, they can revamp the Senior and $10 plan to make it more attractive.

Anyone can share experience using eight in UAE, Qatar, Saudi and Kuwait?
I don't see these countries in the roaming partners, but I assuming just not part of the free 1GB usage.
So would that mean I just need to buy additional international roaming of 1GB at 3.88 to use in those countries not listed?

You should check if the countries you mentioned are in their international roaming list, since you mentioned that they are not part of the 1GB roaming.

for all I know they are in the international roaming list, but I would have expected them to be covered in the free 1GB roaming in the first place. The two lists should be the same

Singtel - not working underground
simba - (lagi) not working underground
eight - nowadays legging

conclusion: change job

Back in august, there were some unique vouchers like SPH, and Shopee Affiliate Program (SAP) vouchers.
I applied discounts from there. Together with shopee coins.

you may wanna get a local sim cards.

or see if simba fits u as u can roam there but not part of the free roaming data allowance. $8/GB

8 speed is not as great as zym or even Maxx as far as I'm concerned.
