Just tried calling from Austin area. Both maxis n umobile can’t call out to +65 62353535.

Lousy Eight, potential customers better not port over!
While dialing did you hear something like outgoing calls are barred? Or no dial tone?

Maybe can try my republic?

Btw it seems that there is a local data speed cap of 1mbps? hotspot slows, youtube slow, download slow.

Morning pal!

1) while dailing, heard voice msg “the number you just dailed is invalid”

2) Nay, the hassle of porting…

3) Maxis on 5G, Umobile on 4G. Speed wise, both telco works well for me. Both Google Maps and load pages very fast and smooth. Probably cos I don’t use phone for gaming?

correct !!!
Good morning!
relying upon you to remind us 12pm top up! Lol

Just to confirm, the best way to top up eight is 12pm, cost $8.00, then get 200 coins, correct?

Welcome aboard.
the best way is $5/mth, but I don’t know how to navigate the vouchers.

If you’re free, spend some time scrolling through the thread. Alex22 shared ard 2 weeks ago with his $5 purchase for 5 months

Actually if I port in online and pay the $8, doesnt it mean when I activate I will get the free $8?

No promotion code is needed across online channels and retailer outlets, eligible customers will receive $8 credits within 7 business days into the main wallet.

So I can port in online process, and when I get the sim, activate within 14 days, and get total of $8 + $8 right?
I dont believe the first 8 dollar (sign up) is entitled to the extra $8. My wife sign up in September and paid 8 dollars. I dont think that money is deposited into the wallet. It is more like payment. After she ported over, I use Shopee to tpp up her Eight Wallet. That is when she gotten the extra $8 into the wallet. This is my observation.

Probably because you activated at night. So far based on the reports posted here, those that had their port in started overnight till morning, usually activated in the afternoon

i second that. The latest i remember was someone who activated at 1900, and was ported in that same night.

i activated at 2100, was ported in the following night.

same as my experience last month. Same place, Mt Austin area.

successful fall back was one of those roaming SIMs purchased off shopee (telco is from HK). that worked (i didn't check who was their local roaming partner).

Lousy Eight, never chose a mythical unicorn telco with perfect coverage, as their roaming partner.

As long as can connect via WhatsApp or FaceTime, I’m happy liao!

For those that needs to use +65 calling out, do take note

If you can find a cheaper way to do it then do it the cheaper way lah. But so far it’s claim Shopee 200 coins voucher at 12pm, then top up

Past few days DV Tech eight listing is on Shopee livestream, so can use Live vouchers (80% cashback capped at 300 coins).

Open the listing in Shopee App, click on 'Watch >', then add to cart.
Make sure in cart it shows as 'Added From Live'.
Apply relevant Live vouchers.

Last night around 8pm-10pm there was also 88% no min capped at $5 Live voucher that can be used to bring price down to $3 (or $2.10 after coins).
Just make sure to add to cart before 2PM (Livestream ends), and you can apply Live vouchers later on in the day, as long as the vouchers are still available.
