Gomo already has 5G for about $18.

What's interesting is that they allow port ins directly from both Starhub and giga, so it looks like cannibalising giga isn't a huge concern for them.

Zym is already providing 5G for non-singtel port-ins

So it's probably quite true that if Eight offered 5G free for the $8 plan, the whole world is going to port into Eight.

Quite troublesome to implement technically from a front-end and back-end point of view, unless they have the budget for it.

I think 5G on starhub / giga is a joint project with M1, i.e. they share base stations?

as some had mentioned earlier, not anytime soon. StarHub needs products differentiation strategy between giga and eight.

giga = speed = gomo
eight = value = heya

dun think they will change their strategy any time soon but still, the 4G network is too congested to the point I had to switch to Simba during commute.
